After a very loooooooooong time-years basically-of not visiting the farm I went there for a weekend .... Situated about 30km south of Khorixas, west off the C39 road, a lot had changed ever since I left. Before there used to be more cattle roaming around than the six cows that are left. Namibia had the worse drought in decades and everyone has been affected. All cattle and sheep farmers, as well as crop farmers were at a lost and we were no different. The drought had an affect on our economy which just last week has been downgraded to "junk status". The drought is over now so the road to recovery has become. As farmers, we are optimistic about the future and hope to have a positive impact on the economy as well.
